Singapore Conference 2006
The inaugural conference was hosted by Department of Japanese Studies, National University of Singapore in October 2006, in conjunction with the 25th anniversary celebration of the Department of Japanese Studies and as an event marking the 40th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Japan and Singapore.
Hanoi Conference 2009
The Second International Conference of The Japanese Studies Association in Southeast Asia titled "Japanese Studies in Southeast Asia : The Past, Present and Future" was held on 22-23 October 2009 in Hanoi, Vietnam. The conference was hosted by Vietnam Acadmy of Social Sciences, and sponsored by the Japan Foundation and Mitsui-NUS Japanese Studies in Southeast Asia Endowment Fund.
