JSA-ASEAN is an academic network of scholars and researchers set up in 2005 to serve as a catalyst in promoting and advancing Japanese studies in the region. One of the objectives of the association is to organize a biennial conference in the region as the major platform for a trans-disciplinary international exchange and networking among scholars working on Japan in Southeast Asia, as well as other parts of the world.
The association conference will enable scholars from the region and beyond to come together regularly to present their research, exchange new ideas and explore the many opportunities for collaborative research that exist. The conference organizers especially encourage younger scholars to participate and will provide financial support on a competitive basis to help facilitate their participation.

The Third International Conference of JSA-ASEAN was held in Kuala Lumpur on 22-23 February 2012. Please click on the links on the left for details.
